PG – Intermittent motion horizontal cartoner for large size products

Equipped with a cantilever structure that allows complete separation of the main mechanical handling parts from the operator-side work area, cleaning time on the PG cartoner is notably reduced, due to the elimination of areas where product residue or packaging material depositing would be inevitable.

Carton erection of the carton by means of a double jointed blade inserted in the case itself ensures positive pre-breakage of the fibers: this allows the use of cases with low weights, square cross-section, and/or gluing and/or creasing imperfections.

Perfect product introduction (even for products of irregular shape/size) is ensured by the insertion of the movable hopper inside the carton, preventing any uncontrolled passage of product from the drawer to the carton itself.

Products are also prevented from straying out of the carton by the action of the spring-loaded guides which automatically close during the return stroke of the pusher.
The PG cartoner can be equipped with a complete range of product feeding systems and additional units, such as: coders, leaflet and booklet feeders, detection and reject devices, etc.. As on all OAM machinery, the PMM is also equipped with the Mechanical Memory® system, transforming complete size change-over into a series of rapid and pre-set operations, which can be carried-out by unskilled personnel allowing production to be resumed immediately without the need for fine-tuning adjustments.
